Petition Numbers Exceed 10,000

More than 10,000 people have now signed the parliamentary petition asking for the Water Police site to be retained in public hands as a community resource providing usable, public open space.

Friends of Pyrmont Point members report that “people just queue up to sign” when they become aware of the purpose of the petition. They also report widespread dissatisfaction with treatment of public lands elsewhere and the types of development occurring, particularly on the harbour foreshores.
